Abstract

|
Objectives: This study is aimed to recognize the role of TMJ in Korean medicine basic theory and clinic, which is the foundation of human life sustaining.
Methods: It was identified and confirmed the organic connection between TMJ and Korean medicine specially Meridian theory.
Results: In Korean medicine be based policies to promote of Oriental Medicine Promotion Act, the therapy of TMJ balancing is one of the parts of Korean medicine treatment of technique. TMJ balancing performs a primary role to treat diseases in the brain and the cervical vertebrae.
Conclusions: TMJ balancing medicine is the part of integrative medicine for systemic diseases treatment to be based on Korean medicine basic theory.
